D.Ed. Special Education (MR)

At Vivekananda Complex, Faridpur the course started in September, 2013. It is equivalent to D.El.Ed course and the successful trainees are eligible for candidature of TET examination for primary school teachership. The course is recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), a statutory body of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. Such education is required for Special Educators / Resource Teachers to teach the differently able children, especially mentally retarded primary school students. The course is of 2 years duration and the admission procedure is similar to D.El.Ed course. Session starts in July every year. Total intake 30. Eligibility for admission: Passed 10+ 2 or equivalent with 50 % of marks in any stream (as per State Govt. rules).
