Owing to abolition of joint family system, old men & women in the family are being neglected. Sufferings of old women in the society, especially in poverty stricken rural families have reached extreme level. Considering the sufferings of neglected helpless old women, VLN started Senior Citizens’ Home for women (25 head capacity) on 01.03.1994. Now the home is at NIBEDITA COMPLEX, Faridpur under financial assistance from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. Contact No. 9434943246.
